One of London's oldest financial services institutions offering investment management, wealth and stockbroking services, is seeking a Training & Competence Officer to join their team.

Reporting to the HR Director you will oversea an effective T&C Scheme, ensuring investment managers hold appropriate and up to date qualifications, managing the firms internal and external training programmes, ensuring training and regulatory records are maintained, preparing and delivering annual competency assessments, delivering new starter inductions in conjunction with HR and providing T&C MI to relevant committees.

You will be based in Essex for the first 3 months sitting with the HR team where you will learn the business and work closely with HR and Compliance to understand the expectations of the T&C scheme. You will then take lead responsibility for the day to day running of the scheme, overseeing 65 Associates who are mainly based in London, with some limited travel to other branches across the country.

Required Experience

- Previous experience in a T&C role is essential

- Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision and to tight deadlines

- Working knowledge of FCA regulations including TC, SYSC, COBS, APER and FIT

- Ideally experience gained in Investment Management/Stockbroking, but IFA/Wealth will also be considered

- Level 4 Qualified (CII DipPFS/FA or CISI) desirable but experience is more important
