HR Advisor


An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly confident HR Professional to work within a small and established company based in London.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing support to the Head of HR on the full range of HR issues.

The role is suited to an established HR Advisor or a HR Manager with excellent HR knowledge who is seeking more autonomy and variety within a small firm.

Key responsibilities include:

·Using the most appropriate recruitment methodology (including internal referrals and social media) to ensure that high quality candidates are sourced in the most cost effective manner.
·Work with the Head of Human Resources to develop and maintain a market leading Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to attract employees.
·Acting as the first point of contact for all HR queries
·Ensuring Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
·Support the Head of HR with all ER matters including TUPE, redundancy, grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings
·Dealing with disciplinary, grievance (over and beyond pure policy application): facilitate proceedings, act as HR representative at formal meetings and ensure that appropriate follow up action is taken
·Actively advise the business on performance management, absence management, engagement, restructures and employment termination.
·Pragmatic application of employment legislation
·Provide support to the HR Administrator (and cover during periods of absence) with transactional HR activities e.g. producing contracts and offer letters for new hires, new starter administration, probation, absence and exit administration
·Payroll/Benefits administration

There will be some travel to other locations across the UK.

·Generalist HR experience within an HR environment

Excellent technical HR knowledge with regards to redundancies, TUPE, recruitment etc.
·Key experience of working with and advising line managers
·First class IT and communication skills
·Previous experience of using HR Systems
