A well established business located in Croydon are currently seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: * Processing weekly Payroll for 20 employees and assisting with 120 employees Payroll * Setting up new starters. * Pension admin. * Processing leavers and issuing the P45's. * Dealing with attachment of earnings orders and other deductions. * Processing wages, overtime, bonuses, holiday pay and weekly expenses. * Processing SMP, SPP and SSP. * Dealing with and resolving wage queries. * Review submitted timesheets. * Weekly submission to HMRC and pension provider. * Processing journals to nominal ledger and cost centres of SAGE 200. * Analysing credit card statements and processing journals. * Monthly expenses for salaried staff - Processing bank payments to nominal ledger and cost centres. * Purchase ledger duties. * Processing invoice and credit notes. * Reconcile monthly sales and assist with the production of monthly accounts. * Intercompany invoicing. * Processing supplier invoices and reconciling against statements. * Analysing and managing specific accounts. * General office administration - Answering external calls and emails. * Covering other members of team in absence
Essential requirements - * Experience in payroll and rounded accounts. * MUST come from an SME background.
Desired requirements - * Lives locally to Croydon. * SAGE 200 & 50 and SAGE Payroll experience.
The company are offering a very competitive benefits package which includes: * Salary of £23,000 to £28,000 (depending on experience) * Parking and close to train station. * Social working hours of 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. * Annual leave of 25 days per annum bank holidays. * Accident and death in service benefit. * Pension scheme after 3 months service. * Private medical insurance on completion of 1 years service with discounted rates for partner and family members.
