This reputable company is looking for a forward thinking Procurement Professional. A great time to join one of the UK's best known brands. Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will be tasked with maximising the value (service, quality, cost, risk) derived from their supplier relationships through:

·Ownership of, and empowerment to, proactively manage substantial and critical categories & suppliers.
·Business Partnering to develop sourcing strategies that are aligned to businesses needs
·Development of strategic supplier relationships and partnerships.
·Monitoring of key business deliverables to ensure Contractual coverage, adherence to UK Construction legislation and delivery of services within agreed Capex & Opex spend parameters.

Whilst driving this forward you will also be accountable for:

·Identifying & prioritising opportunities with reference to industry, market, business & supplier developments and historic and forecast spend.
·Work in partnership with commercial finance to understand cost drivers & budgets/forecasts and to align procurement plans and activity to latest plans.
·Develop, validate and communicate category and supplier strategies. Take business wide perspective.
·Analyse full range of sourcing options and partnership models. Influence and support business to implement appropriate solution.
·Manage RFx process, including for complex projects, & objectively evaluate responses to inform supplier selection.
·Plan and lead negotiations, including complex negotiations, and deliver target outcomes (price, service levels, quality & key contractual terms).
·Ensure close engagement with key stakeholders, presenting regular updates and raising the profile of Procurement.

Essential skills and experience:

·Category management experience, including high value categories, subject matter expert and demonstrable capability across multiple spend categories within a blue chip environment.
·Proven executive and senior stakeholder influencing, engagement & management, highly collaborative.
·Demonstrable innovation including taking ideas from generation through to implementation gaining stakeholder buy-in.
·Taking a broad perspective and optimising leverage through innovation and forward planning
·Communication, influencing, negotiation, interpersonal & business partnering at Executive level.
·Demonstrable problem solving skills within complex scenarios and decision making.
·Degree or equivalent.

Desirable skills and experience:

·Business qualifications, CIPS, Project Management.

·Developing and managing business partnering and supplier SLA's.
·Supplier Relationship Management Programmes.
·e-sourcing tools and techniques.
·Construction Law.
·Health and Safety Legislation.
·Construction Design Management (CDM).
·Working knowledge of Construction based contracts (ICE / NEC).
·Telecommunication architectures.
