This highly reputable organisation has an interesting and varied role for an HR Assistant to join their organisation on a permanent basis is where you will be responsible for delivering an efficient HR service to a client group, providing transactional support and service level agreements to ensure timely and effective resolution of cases and first line professional advice and guidance

Act as the first point of escalation for leaders and managers on SelectHR data, support and queries, doubling as Select HR specialist.
 Provide support and training to line managers on people policies and procedures.
 Communicate with and support the People Services Team Leader in providing timely resolutions and /or escalation to the Strategic HR Business Partners and / or Head of HR and Corporate Development.
 Take responsibility as a member of the People Services team in building professional capability and knowledge, supporting the move towards an enhanced customer delivery service and the evolution of the People Service provision.
 Providing a high quality, professional service and delivering agreed Service Level Agreements.
 Identify and escalate to the People Services Team Leader complex queries in line with the Institute's policies and procedures.
 Ensure achievement of HR metrics, and provide information to the People Service Team Leader so to report and monitored in line with needs e.g. number of calls, feedback, resolutions and customer usage etc.
 Partake and engage in any relevant current training / development in line with any company changes or employment law developments.
 Responsible for ensuring sound relationships with payroll and pension providers, ensuring that payroll administration and information is consistently correct.
 Deliver quality administration and co-ordination of occupational health activities (including ill health / early retirement), partnering with People Services Team Leader and Reward Specialist to align delivery against strategy.
 Effectively and professionally engage with Institute employees, third party contractors and external customers.
 Work closely with the People Services Team Leader and HR colleagues in ensuring alignment between People Strategy, operational delivery and service expectations.
 Work in partnership with HR colleagues and Institute leaders / managers, enhancing their knowledge and enabling them to understand and advise on people management issues

Demonstrable experience of effective customer service delivery.
 A developing knowledge of HR including employment law and dispute resolution.
 Experience of advising on a full range people related matters to employees, managers and senior leadership.
 Experience of working and influencing people managers on people related issues
 Excellent planning, organising and co-ordination of multiple people related issues.
 Experience of building and managing relationships with external suppliers.
 Experience of working with confidential information and a good knowledge of data protection principles.
 Strong customer service and problem solving skills.
