Do I need a CIPD Qualification?

  • July 21, 2016

Whether you’ve just started working in HR, or have been in a role for some time, a CIPD qualification can give your career a boost and take your career to the next level.Although a CIPD qualification isn’t always requested by employers, there are always some hiring managers who include it as a requirement.

What do HR Hiring Managers think?

“I would certainly seek to recruit an HR Assistant who was already CIPD qualified or working towards this qualification due to the certainty that it would give me that the individual had an all round knowledge of what an HR generalist role encompasses, in addition to an understanding of the processes that are required and why they are so important- such as pre-employment checks”
Jenny Winton, Director of Human Resources, Hurstpierpoint College

“At Administrator level I wouldn't have any strong feelings about it.  A Certificate level qualification would be a 'nice to have', but attitude and experience would be more important to me at that level.”
