Why Alexander Lloyd? We are specialist recruitment consultants, focused on placing hardworking professionals within our key market specialisms. This year we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary, and as a result, we are growing fast. We are hiring all levels of Recruitment Consultants for all of our divisions; Finance & Accountancy, Human Resources, Procurement & Supply Chain, Pensions & Benefits and Compliance & Risk.

We run a state-of-the-art academy for individuals who are looking to break into the recruitment and sales industry. You will be amongst friendly and hardworking colleagues who will support you on your journey. You will be given the means to build your own desk and run it autonomously whilst working collaboratively with your colleagues. Recruitment is a role that focuses on the ability to build powerful partnerships with our candidates and clients through direct and indirect marketing.

We run an 8-week program, designed to give you all the tools to become the best recruiter in the industry.

Graduates from our academy have gone on to become some of our strongest and most successful consultants in the business. Our aim is for everyone in our business to feel supported and feel that they have been given all the best tools and knowledge possible to start their careers and we truly believe that our academy is that springboard.

Meet the Trainers

Sinitta Callman – Sinitta has 7 years’ experience as a Recruitment  Consultant and now heads up our internal recruitment division. She has now successfully completed 3 training academies with us and is gearing up for the next one starting in September 2019.

Mike Goddard – Mike has worked within the Recruitment industry for 24 years. He specializes in candidate attraction, training, coaching and developing talent. He is willing to be involved in a one to one basis with a Recruitment Consultant if that makes someone successful. As a business, our model works, and our staff retention is impressive as many of our team members have worked with Alexander Lloyd for up to 18 years! Not only does this mean happy consultants, but happy clients too, as they receive continuity of service.

Case Study – Lauren Raycraft joined our training academy in April 2018 after a short 6-month stint in commercial recruitment as she wanted to re-train in professional services recruitment. She took the academy in her stride and after she “graduated” and became a fully-fledged recruitment consultant, she’s joined our Accountancy & Finance division. After a year, the time came for her to build her own desk; HR Operations. Lauren now heads up this desk, working alongside our Director Simon, and is bringing in more and more business as the months go on.

We asked Lauren what advise she would give to anyone joining our academy – “You get out what you put in, so work your socks off, ask every question imaginable and remember the end goal; hard work pays off.”

We also asked Lauren what she valued the most during the training – “It was so engaging, sometimes when you hear the word “training”, you think boring videos from the early 2000s, rubbish slideshows, and novels of training guides but that is not the case with the training academy here at Alexander Lloyd! Also, joining a new company can be nerve-wracking but with the academy, you’re in the same boat as 6 other people, so you never feel like the “newbie”. I would 100% recommend the academy to anyone who is not just looking to get into recruitment, but also someone who wants to work for a really lovely company.”
