Interim Group Financial Controller (PLC Experience Essential)

📍 Location: Crawley / Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)

💼 Duration: 3-6 months (potential extension)

💰 Day Rate: £600-£700

We are partnering with a leading organisation seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller to support the business through a period of transformation, reporting, and year-end activity. This is a critical role requiring a hands-on leader with extensive PLC experience and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, complex group environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of group financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and year-end consolidation.
• Ensure robust compliance with IFRS, PLC regulatory requirements and governance standards.
• Oversee the preparation of Board packs, statutory accounts and audit deliverables.
• Strengthen financial controls, processes and group accounting policies.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide clear financial insight, challenge, and support.
• Manage and mentor the finance team during a period of change and increased demand.

Key Requirements

• Proven PLC experience – essential.
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical expertise.
• Extensive background in group consolidations, IFRS reporting and audit management.
• Ability to operate in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Prior interim experience preferred but not essential.
