Senior Pensions Project Specialist

Alexander Lloyd is working with a highly respected, award-winning Pensions Consultancy that is expanding its specialist projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Defined Benefits pensions professional to step into a senior role and deliver complex, high-impact pension projects for a diverse client portfolio.

This role would suit someone who enjoys technical challenges, project ownership, and working closely with trustees, insurers, and advisers to deliver high-quality outcomes for pension schemes and their members.

This position can be based remotely, with occasional travel required to either the Manchester, Glasgow or Belfast office.

About the role:

As a Senior Pensions Project Specialist, you’ll take responsibility for managing and delivering a broad range of DB pensions projects, including:

• Buy-ins and buy-outs (data preparation, insurer engagement, transitions)
• GMP exercises
• Benefit audits and benefit rectification exercises
• Data analysis, cleansing and migration projects
• Preparation and transfer of data
• Attend trustee meetings

Key skills and experience required:

• Solid experience in Defined Benefits Administration.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK DB pension legislation and regulation.
• Proven projects experience – Buy-in’s/ Buy-outs, GMP and data exercises etc.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
