A leading UK pensions provider is seeking an exceptional Senior Risk Manager to shape, strengthen and embed risk management across a complex, fast‑evolving organisation. This is a senior, high‑visibility role working directly with Boards, Executives and Trustee clients.

Within this role, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Risk Management Framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and managed. You’ll own the Risk Management Playbook, deliver risk advisory and assurance services, and act as a trusted senior adviser on strategic, operational and emerging risks.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead the Risk Framework and drive continuous improvement.

• Own policies and the Risk Playbook, embedding consistent standards.

• Deliver risk advisory & assurance with strong independent challenge.

• Provide senior risk insight to Boards, Executives and Committees.

• Oversee risk reporting & KRIs with forward‑looking analysis.

• Lead service assurance and control testing.

• Champion risk capability, education and culture organisation‑wide.

• Support strategic change, business transformation and new propositions.

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive experience in pensions risk management and institutional investment environments

• Strong understanding of regulatory, investment, operational and reputational risk

• Keen drive to develop and elevate the division

This role is hybrid to a Leeds office, 2 days per week.
