Category Manager – Operational Services

Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Category Manager to support a broad portfolio of operational and asset-related spend.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to lead strategic sourcing projects across maintenance, engineering, equipment, operational services and asset management categories. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you’ll drive category strategies, supplier performance and commercial value across a complex spend portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies across operational and asset-related spend.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing, tendering and contract award activities.
• Deliver complex procurement projects and commercial negotiations.
• Build strong relationships with operational, engineering and business stakeholders.
• Develop commercial models and evaluation methodologies.
• Drive cost savings, value creation and supplier performance improvements.

About You

• Proven Category Management experience within a complex organisation.
• Strong end-to-end sourcing and tender management expertise.
• Experience managing operational, engineering, maintenance or asset-related categories.
• Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable operating autonomously and leading multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
