Alexander Lloyd are looking for someone energised by complex change, large‑scale transitions and delivering operational stability from day one, this role puts you at the centre of a major pensions transformation programme.

As DC Transition & Operational Readiness Lead, you’ll take ownership of an integrated workstream spanning transition planning, business readiness, cutover, operating model preparation, asset transfer activity and post‑go‑live support. You’ll be the person who ensures everything comes together – accurately, on time and with confidence.

What you’ll lead

  • Transition & readiness leadership across DC and CARE schemes, bringing structure, clarity and momentum to a multi‑workstream programme.
  • Integrated transition planning – developing and maintaining end‑to‑end plans covering readiness, cutover and implementation.
  • Asset transfer & reconciliation – coordinating activities to ensure accuracy, control and minimal member impact.
  • Go‑live criteria – defining, tracking and ensuring all conditions are met ahead of implementation.
  • Transition rehearsals – leading readiness assessments and dry‑runs to validate operational preparedness.
  • Risk & dependency management – identifying critical milestones, managing contingencies and ensuring delivery confidence.
  • Colleague readiness – supporting training, documentation and knowledge transfer across operational teams.
  • Hypercare leadership – ensuring a smooth move into BAU following go‑live.

About you

You’re a highly organised, experienced programme professional who thrives on bringing together multiple stakeholders, workstreams and operational activities to deliver successful business change.

You’ll bring:

  • Large‑scale transition & cutover experience within pensions administration, ideally across DC and CARE schemes.
  • Strong knowledge of pension administration, including DC bulk transfers, asset transitions or platform migrations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Robust planning, governance and delivery capability.
  • Proven experience managing risks, dependencies and critical milestones.
  • The ability to simplify complexity and create practical, effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience supporting business readiness and change initiatives.
  • A collaborative, proactive and outcome‑focused approach with a track record of successful delivery.
