Associate Consultant – Employee Benefits

London- Hybrid | Full-Time | Permanent

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established independent wealth management and employee benefits consultancy based in the heart of London who provide bespoke advice and support to organisations of all sizes, helping them design, implement and manage employee benefit programmes that deliver real value to both businesses and their employees.

They are currently looking for an Associate Consultant to join their Benefits Consulting team in a client-facing role offering the opportunity to manage your own portfolio of clients while supporting senior consultants on larger strategic accounts.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Benefits Consulting, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, delivering excellent service, and supporting the ongoing development of our employee benefits proposition.

You will work closely with clients, insurers, and providers to ensure benefit schemes are effectively managed, renewed, and communicated, whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of employee benefits clients.
  • Oversee and manage renewal and market review processes.
  • Prepare renewal reports, client presentations, and recommendations.
  • Respond to day-to-day client queries and provide ongoing support.
  • Manage membership and scheme administration activities.
  • Attend client, insurer, and provider meetings.
  • Support senior consultants in the management of key accounts.
  • Assist with new business opportunities from existing and prospective clients.
  • Support internal projects and team initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records using internal databases and back-office systems.
  • Attend industry and third-party networking events.

Skills & Competencies

  • Previous experience working within an employee benefits consultancy or employee benefits environment.
  • Good working knowledge of employee benefits products and services.
  • Understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to employee benefits.
  • Experience using CRM, administration, and productivity software systems.
  • Relevant qualifications such as GR1, IF1, IF7, or equivalent would be advantageous.
