Senior Pensions Administrator

We are working with a highly respected organisation that is seeking a talented Senior Pensions Administrator to join its growing Pensions Administration team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive environment where you’ll work across a varied portfolio of Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC) and CARE pension schemes, delivering exceptional service to both clients and scheme members.

Our client offers a flexible hybrid working environment, two days a week in the office.

The Role

As a Senior Pensions Administrator, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day administration of pension schemes, ensuring a high standard of accuracy, compliance and customer service. You’ll also act as a technical point of reference within the team, supporting workflow management and mentoring junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a range of pension administration activities across DB, DC and CARE schemes
  • Processing member events including retirements, transfers, deaths, joiners and leavers
  • Maintaining accurate member records and pension calculations
  • Reviewing and checking calculations and outputs completed by other team members
  • Assisting with annual and periodic scheme projects, including pension increases and renewals
  • Preparing administration reports and supporting client and trustee meetings
  • Identifying and escalating technical issues, risks and errors where appropriate
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of processes and service delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Proven UK pensions administration experience, Defined Benefits experience is essential
  • Strong technical pensions knowledge and awareness of current legislation
  • Experience working within a client-focused pensions environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience using pensions administration systems such as UPM or similar platforms
