Part Time Financial Controller

Duties will include but not be limited too:

• Assess the existing finance team, processes and Sage 50 system, and define the gap between current and required capability as the business grows.
• Provide the Managing Director with a true, timely and commercially meaningful picture of business performance, including product and customer profitability.
• Introduce robust budgeting and forecasting practices to support the growth plan.
• Review the management accounts preparation and wider services currently provided by the external accountants, and assess what could be brought in-house.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of a new finance/ERP system, with a particular focus on integrated transactional processing, stock control, margin reporting.
• Own the business case, requirements definition and vendor selection process.
• Manage or oversee the implementation project, data migration, testing and go-live and working with internal teams and external implementation partners.
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to the Managing Director, providing financial insight, challenge and support for strategic and operational decisions as the business scales towards its financial goals

You will have the following skill set:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA – Essential
• Strong all round financial accounting and commercial acumen
• Want to work in a business with ambitious growth plans and be involved from the start
• Strong communication skills
• Get to the Horsham office – 3 days PW
• Strong excel skills
• This is a Part time role. 3 days PW (office based) – Can be flex on days
• £60-70k FTE
