Interim Accountant

Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a leading automotive business, in the recruitment for an Interim Accountant to oversee their regional operations.

This is a hands-on role, suited to a commercially aware accountant who enjoys working closely with operational teams. Initially this role will be on a 3-6 month basis, however could likely become permanent for the right person.

This role requires an immediate start and previous finance experience within the automotive industry is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring balance sheet and asset reconciliations are completed.

• Overseeing accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes.
• Calculating and processing depreciation and amortisation journals.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Managing cashflow, budgeting and forecasting activities alongside senior management.
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Overseeing month-end reporting processes.

About You

• Previous experience in a senior level finance role within the automotive industry (essential)
• Strong understanding of cashflow management, financial controls and reconciliations.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to work independently.
• Strong Excel and systems skills.
