We have facilities for on line testing on site at Alexander Lloyd. In addition, we have outsourced facilities for a variety of skills and attitude testing; please speak to one of our Consultants directly to discuss your specific requirements.

What is a competency-based interview?

Competency-based (or behavioural) interviews are based on the premise that past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour. Interviewers seek to obtain information about candidates past behaviour in certain situations.

Working in partnership with our clients over the years has been the key to long successful relationships. This partnership is based on communication, setting the recruitment timetable from an early stage and ensuring regular honest feedback is given from both parties.

Do you offer a rebate/guarantee facility?

When recruiting, making sure that you select the right person is always a concern and our consultants work very closely with you to find the right person. However, because we are dealing with individuals, there are occasional instances when the match does not work out. Alexander Lloyd offer you an unique free replacement service within the first 10 weeks of employment. If circumstances have changed and you do not need a free replacement, we offer a rebate facility. These are subject to conditions, detailed in our full terms of business.

Do you offer external managed assignments?

You can also benefit from our managed interview service at your own offices. For block interviews and urgent requirements consultants will be present at your offices to meet and greet candidates plus take their instant feedback post-interview. This will allow you to discuss the progress instantly with your consultant and help you conclude to a short list quickly.

Do you offer on site and managed interview facilities?

We have our own specially designed interview suite and boardroom facilities. We offer an onsite managed interview service, which is extremely popular with many clients. You are able to book a block of interviews and hold them away from the distractions of your own environment. In addition we are able to give you instant feedback from candidates, allowing you to focus clearly on the right decision in an efficient manner. This service is particularly useful for confidential, urgent or bulk recruitment matters.

How much notice do I need to give for a temporary/ interim requirement?

Our proactive team are used to working at short notice and have strong relationships with a bank of professional temporary and interim workers. Therefore, they are usually able to meet your requirements within 24 hours. If not we will be honest and come up with an alternative solution for you.

How long does it take to recruit someone?

Recruiting individuals has many variables, which does affect the length of time taken to recruit. However, our consultants will work to your timetable and will set this with you from the moment your requirement is signed off to ensure you get the right person in the minimum amount of time.

Do you check professional qualifications?

All candidates complete a self-verification form certifying the integrity and accuracy of the information given on their CV. In addition we check professional qualifications passed directly with the relevant institutes.

Do you take references?

Alexander Lloyd has a rigorous reference policy to ensure you know as much as possible about the person you are recruiting. At the point of registration, all candidates have written references taken and in many cases more detailed verbal references for at least the last two jobs over a five-year period. Due to candidate confidentiality we only take references with current employers after the candidates have handed in their notice.
