    We are seeking a FC candidate with a strong Technical Accounting background with proven experience within a Financial Control environment. You will be a confident people manager, experienced and confident in developing and mentoring a team

    .

    You will act as a trusted business partner to a number of senior stakeholders across the exec leadership team with the aim of delivering improved financial performance and ensuring appropriate levels of investment within agreed parameters.

    Key Duties

      • Financial Reporting – ensuring that financial reports /statements are well understood and prepared on an accurate and timely basis
      • Order to Cash – ensuring that all revenue streams are billed on an accurate, efficient and timely basis; driving credible revenue reporting and minimising debt.
      • Purchase to Pay – ensuring that the payment process is controlled and efficient.
      • Forecasting – ensuring that budgets and forecasts are stretching and achievable across the IS and cash flow.

    Candidate profile

    • ACA/ACCA qualified with PQE
    • Healthcare sector experience
    • Technically sound and up to date with current financial reporting standards
    • Experience using a consolidation package such as SAP BPC, HFM, Cognos
    • Team management experience
    • Multi-site healthcare expereince would be advantageous
    • Available to start within a maximum of 4 weeks’ notice

    Senior Financial Controller – 12 Month FTC

  • Responsibilities:

    • Be accountable for, and assure the timely delivery of, statutory reporting and regulatory financial returns
    • Lead on the implementation and development of financial governance frameworks, to include the recommendation and application of appropriate systems, policies and procedures to mitigate organisational financial risk and to satisfy both internal and external audit requirements (includes lead role on preparation of Annual Governance Statement).
    • Keep up to date with developments in accounting and finance policy across policing, local government and the public sector in order to interpret, initiate, develop, report on and implement changes in accounting
    • regulations and other financial frameworks to ensure the Force complies with latest
    • Act as lead responsibility to ensure the Financial Governance framework is kept up to date and that the documents are reviewed and approved annually.
    • Represent Finance at Chief Officer and PCC Boards, presenting complex financial issues to the Force and OPCC Executives to facilitate decision making.
    • Engage and advise on the application of Financial Regulations, compliance with statutory financial management responsibilities.

    What you need:
