Alexander Lloyd are delighted to exclusively partnering with a growing retail organisation with the key hire of a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

You will be managing a team of 8 you will be reporting in the CFO, playing a pivotal role in the success of the business. This role is due to their continued growth in the UK marketplace.

The primary purpose of the role will be to support the CFO with month end reporting, bank reconciliation’s, monthly management accounts and supporting senior stakeholders across the business.

Location – London (2 days per week)

Salary – £80,000-£90,000K + Bonus & Benefits DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of the Monthly MI Packs.
  • Developing and maintaining critical Financial Reporting & Reconciliation statements.
  • Partnering with business leaders providing key budget management support.
  • Supporting with the preparation of long term financial plans.
  • Leading the Annual Budget Preparation
  • Leading a financial operations team
  • Key involvement in the development and implementation of the long-term growth strategy
  • Ad-Hoc Project Based Work.
  • Regularly maintaining and managing senior stakeholder relations.

Key Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team of qualified and part qualified accountants
  • Qualified accountant with PQE
  • Strong Excel,
  • Demonstrable experience in process improvement
  • Commercially astute; should be able to identify successful profit improvement initiatives
  • Experience in identifying risks, and implementing controls to minimise risk
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
