HR Manager / Head of HR (standalone)

up to £50k plus benefits

Alexander Lloyd are pleased to be exclusively partnering with this SME organisation with a fantastic, friendly high-performance culture in their search for a Head of HR for their Brighton offices.

We are seeking a flexible and resilient HR generalist who has an interest in how the organisation develops and makes money to guide, support and develop the organisation (45FTE) through the next phase of exciting growth.

You will need to be an inspiring HR leader who has a passion for fostering a successful learning and development culture. From attracting the best talent to the business, through leading high team engagement and supportive culture, to designing and delivering the people plan in line with the overall business strategy, this role is vital for the future success of the business.

Duties include:
  • Manage all aspects of the Employee Life Cycle, ensuring all HR processes and procedures are managed to best practice standards 
  • Coach and support line managers on the career development, performance and progress of their teams.
  • Work closely with the SMT and line managers to define needs within the business and develop and drive recruitment campaigns to drive unique talent. evelop and drive Learning & Development programmes
  • Develop and implement a wide-ranging talent plan for all areas of the business
  • Continually research and suggest new ideas to ensure that employee development is relevant, innovative and future-thinking.
  • Conduct annual salary review process and benchmark across the business and also the external market.
  • Support process for succession planning and promotions.
  • Work closely with the SMT to help develop and deliver an HR Strategy that meets the organisational goals.
  • Plan, develop and monitor diversity and inclusion programmes for the business.
  • Develop and enhance our Employer Brand across all communication channels.
  • Lead, promote and foster the supportive culture and wellbeing of employees

This challenging, highly visible and occasionally intense HR Leadership role will suit a resourceful and proactive HR generalist who is keen to be very involved with every area of the organisation. HR experience gained in a standalone role within a very commercially orientated business is key. A background in consultancy, professional service or agency would be particularly suitable.
