The Role:

Are you a Pension professional looking for a new interesting role utilising your Project Management and Technical Pension skills? Then this could be the role for you!. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering benefit correction projects, with a particular focus on GMP related projects. Over time, the role will expand into broader benefit correction work.

Whether you’re pursuing your actuarial qualifications or looking to step away from exams, this role is perfect for someone with a pensions background and an interest in technical actuarial work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a range of clients, working closely with Client Managers and Scheme Actuaries.
  • Own and manage processes, including data cleanse and project delivery.
  • Handle end-to-end aspects of benefit correction projects, collaborating across teams to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Check and review correction calculations and contribute to report production.
  • Manage the process of GMP comparisons between Scheme and HMRC records.
  • Oversee GMP equalisation models and manage implementation for pension correction exercises.
  • Prepare progress updates and review client reports.

About You:

  • Qualifications: Technical Pensions background though candidates from a pensions administration background will also be considered.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills with an understanding of actuarial approaches for pensions.
  • Experience:
    • GMP Equalisation experience is preferred but not essential.
    • Experience managing projects and familiarity with pension administration systems are desirable.
