Are you ready to take on a role where no two days are the same, where your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will directly influence the smooth running of pension schemes? We’re looking for an Implementation Support Specialist to be at the heart of scheme transitions, data analysis, and operational support, helping to deliver a seamless experience for members and stakeholders alike.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for implementation queries and play a key role in bringing pension scheme transitions to life. You’ll work closely with third-party administrators (TPAs), senior managers, and operational teams to ensure everything runs smoothly – from buy-ins and buy-outs, through to reinsurance reporting and data management.

You’ll:

  • Lead on scheme implementations, ensuring data and benefits are complete and accurate.
  • Collaborate with TPAs to keep projects on track, addressing challenges as they arise.
  • Support buy-in and buy-out projects, ensuring every detail is captured and signed off.
  • Facilitate operational tasks during transitions, from payroll funding to member calculations.
  • Take ownership of BAU handovers, making sure everything is ready for business as usual.
  • Help deliver monthly reinsurance reporting and valuation data.
  • Produce clear and insightful MI to support decision-making.
  • Mentor and support new colleagues, helping them grow in confidence and competence.
  • Step up to deputise for senior managers when required – a great opportunity to showcase your leadership.

What We’re Looking For
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, thrives on problem-solving, and can juggle priorities with ease. You’ll need to be:

  • Highly organised, accurate, and detail-focused.
  • A confident communicator who can build strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Analytical with a flair for resolving issues.
  • Experienced (ideally) in DB pensions, scheme administration, or the insurance industry.
  • Familiar with de-risking processes such as buy-ins and buy-outs (a bonus, but not essential).
  • Interested in projects and implementations, with a proactive mindset.
