About the role:

As a Pensions Manager, you will be part of the outsourced pensions management and scheme secretarial team. You will act as the lead day-to-day contact for clients, managing the delivery of pensions management and governance services across a varied portfolio of schemes.

This is a senior, client facing role requiring strong technical pensions knowledge, excellent communication skills and proven leadership capability. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure high quality, compliant and timely service delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Pensions Management & Governance

  • Act as a scheme secretary on permanent and interim appointments
  • Lead outsourced pensions management support for in-house pension teams
  • Manage a portfolio of pension schemes and associated projects
  • Oversee scheme governance to ensure full regulatory compliance
  • Own scheme business plans, budgets and profitability

Business Development

  • Build and maintain a strong professional network
  • Identify and support new business opportunities

People Leadership

  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support to team members
  • Act as a line manager where required, including performance management

Key skills and experience required:

  • Solid background in the pensions industry
  • Recent experience working with occupational pension schemes
  • Strong technical understanding of pension legislation and governance
  • Experience working across DB and DC schemes
  • Proven project and budget management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
