Pensions Technical Manager

Alexander Lloyd are looking for a Pensions Technical Specialist, you’ll work on propositional change, helping to evolve existing products and support the design and launch of new products. You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, provide governance support, and influence strategic decisions to drive the Retail business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with propositional owners and product development teams to ensure new product developments comply with the regulatory framework.
• Work with product leads to embed strong governance practices before product launches.
• Monitor and analyse regulatory changes to assess their impact on the Retail business and strategy.
• Provide ongoing governance support for existing propositions.
• Draft clear and concise regulatory impact summaries for key stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Prepare reports and briefings for internal committees, ensuring actions are followed up efficiently.
• Offer technical guidance on the product range and respond to escalated queries.

About You

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

✔ Technical expertise in a similar role or team.

✔ Experience in Defined Contribution (DC) Pensions, Equity Release, or investment products (ISAs, GIAs, etc.).

✔ A strong ability to interpret regulations and apply them to product development.

✔ The ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences.

✔ Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence in working with senior leadership.
