Alexander Lloyd is delighted to be exclusively partnering with an innovative and purpose-driven organisation, on the recruitment of a People Adviser (Employee Relations).

This is a key role within the HR function, responsible for providing expert Employee Relations support while partnering closely with managers across the business. You will play a critical role in delivering a positive employee experience, ensuring fair and compliant people practices, and supporting organisational growth through high-quality advisory and project work.

Duties:

  • Provide expert advice and support to managers across the full range of Employee Relations (ER) matters, from initial case management through to resolution.
  • Coach and guide managers on best practice across the full employee lifecycle, including performance management, wellbeing, engagement and development.
  • Support managers in making informed, risk-based decisions on people matters, ensuring legal compliance and consistency.
  • Lead on the resolution of complex ER cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and Occupational Health matters.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with current legislation and best practice.
  • Deliver and support key people initiatives and annual HR programmes across the organisation.
  • Take ownership of HR projects and initiatives, providing tools, data and insights to enhance the employee experience.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor across the business.
  • Ensure all HR activity is conducted in a fair, consistent and compliant manner in line with organisational values.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a People Adviser, HR Adviser or similar Employee Relations-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice, including end-to-end case management.
  • Experience supporting wellbeing and Occupational Health matters.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload independently.
  • Confident using HR systems and data, with experience of platforms such as SharePoint, Power BI or similar being advantageous.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong judgement and decision-making capability.
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a high level of service delivery.
