We are looking for an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge of occupational pension schemes who enjoys managing client relationships, leading projects, and supporting colleagues in delivering high-quality service.

As a key member of the team, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of clients and play an active role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and client satisfaction across all areas of administration.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing all member benefit calculations, including manual calculations

  • Checking manual calculations and project-related tasks on client schemes

  • Taking full responsibility for all administration matters within your client portfolio

  • Managing renewals, including benefit statements, calculations, and preparatory work for trustee reports and accounts

  • Contributing to scheme projects such as bulk annuity (Buy-in/Buy-out) and GMP Equalisation implementations

  • Maintaining and monitoring scheme bank accounts

  • Preparing pension payrolls and pension increase exercises (including dual record GMPe schemes)

  • Maintaining quality standards in line with ISO and AAF best practices

  • Producing regular statistics and reports for trustees

  • Supporting team members to achieve objectives and meet deadlines

  • Participating in service, systems, and process improvement projects

  • Developing strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to improve service and profitability

  • Performing other administration tasks as required by clients or management

General Duties

  • Attending client administration meetings (mostly remote)

  • Liaising with consultants to ensure service standards and SLAs are met

About You

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in occupational pension scheme administration

  • Strong technical knowledge of DB and/or DC schemes

  • Excellent numeracy and attention to detail

  • The ability to work independently while supporting team goals

  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills

  • PMI qualifications (or progress toward them) are desirable but not essential
