We are working with a busy and growing business based on the outskirts of Brighton in the Falmer/Woodingdean area
The finance team are looking for an accounts assistant to join them on a 6 month contract to help at this busy time. You'll be working as in a team of 8 and will have the opportunity to get involved with a variety of accounting tasks. The line manager is very flexible on the level of experience that is needed in the team and would welcome candidates with AAT studies with little or no working experience or maybe some one that has working knowledge in an accounts environment but with no studies.
Duties will involve ·Invoices are to be matched against goods received system and passed for payment if agreed. ·Daily bank statements and check for any discrepancies or unusual transactions. ·Process invoices and to ensure payment of invoices are performed to required timescales. ·Assist in the day to day smooth running of the sales ledger function. ·Ensure that all queries are dealt with as a matter of priority, ·Reconcile bank statements and card transactions to posting in the ledger ·Cash matching from daily reports
Working hours are 9:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday, hour lunch, £20,000pa salary
