Alexander Lloyd is currently recruiting for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to work within one of our professional services clients based in Kent, with frequent travel to another UK office.
Responsibilities: * Manage and develop a team of ER Advisors - provide coaching to ensure a high standard of HR service delivery * Work with the ER Advisors to identify root causes of issues and work with the business to manage issues proactively * Develop and promote HR policies and procedures working in partnership with managers to ensure consistency of application across the business * Providing informative data/MI to the HRBP team - identify trends and working with the HRBP team to put in place people strategies that address any underlying issues or areas for improvement * Act as the lead Business Partner for employee engagement initiatives such as the various Employee Feedback Questionnaires and Employee Forum * Manage complex and difficult ER cases including handling of responses and preparation for Employment Tribunal cases by working in partnership with the external Employment Law team * Making sound judgements/recommendations and manage risks associated with complex ER cases and provide updates to the Senior HR Leadership Team to ensure timely decision making * Work in true partnership with the HRBP team, the Centres of Excellence and HR Shared Service teams to deliver fit for purpose HR interventions to the business * Responsible for the exit interview process and ensuring the HRBP team are updated with relevant MI/feedback * Ensure all new people managers are proactively inducted in to the business in terms of HR policy and process understanding * Support the HRBP team with the management of organisational changes resulting in complex ER activities including TUPE transfers, contract changes, restructures and redundancy exercises
The successful candidate will have: * Proven experience of supporting managers through general ER issues * Detailed knowledge and experience of managing complex ER issues * People management experience * Strong and up to date understanding of employment law Desirable: * Previous experience of working within a customer centric business * Familiar with the Business Partner approach to drive business initiatives through to delivery using the appropriate HR interventions
