Assistant Management Accountant


A new opportunity has become available for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a team of 3 on a permanent basis in the East Grinstead area.

This is a position that would suit individuals who are currently in a similar position and looking to step into their next opportunity. The company are looking for an individual who is going to serve longevity to them.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries;
* Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions;
* Ensuring spending is kept in line with the budget;
* Informing key strategic decisions and formulating business strategies
* Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
* Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts
* Offering professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance
* Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers;
* Liaising with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context;
* Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed;
* Implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls
* Assisting with month end and year end procedures including reporting

The suitable candidate will:
* Have experience in a similar role
* Be either currently studying towards a professional such as CIMA or be qualified by experience
* Preferably come from a travel or insurance background
* Be able to work well with others
* Be willing and responsible
* Poses a keen eye for detail
* Must have month end reporting experience
* Preferably have experience in using SAP system
* Have intermediate Excel ability including VLOOKUP's and PivotTables
