Procurement Category & Supplier Manager,

East Sussex,

£55-£60k.

As this company moves through their significant procurement transformation, they are looking for experts in the field to bring into their Procurement department.
Reporting to Senior Category and Supplier Manager who has taken on some new responsibilities, I am looking to add to their team with an experienced Procurement Category & Supplier Manager.

Accountability:
Category Management:
·Comfortable with Category Plans, identifying opportunities to deliver savings, increase value, improve service outcomes.
·Build strong partnerships with stakeholders in the business with early engagement.
·Maintain expertise in latest developments, key players, innovations, opportunities, market developments and regulation in your category.
·Work in partnership with suppliers and supplier managers in the business to identify future opportunities and drive transformational innovation.



Supplier Management(tier 1 & 2):

·Ensure supplier meetings are conducted.
·Ensure key supplier risks are highlighted and actions are in place to address them.
·Ensure internal governance processes are carried out consistently for all key suppliers
·Support other initiatives and projects outside of your category as required.



Skills/Experience:
·CIPS qualified, or working towards CIPS qualification (preferred)
·Skilled negotiator with commercial acumen, being able to understand complex commercial issues driving negotiations to conclusion in a timely manner with attention to detail
·Effective stakeholder management.
