A personal lines insurer and household name are seeking a new Head of Compliance to report into the Chief Risk Officer. Managing a small team you will be the technical SME for regulatory compliance, developing and maintaining an appropriately resourced, skilled and motivated compliance team. You will maintain a relationship with business stakeholders and the regulators, identifying and highlighting emerging regulatory risks and advising the business on developments and initiatives.
You must be able to demonstrate solid experience in general insurance, with experience of direct personal lines. You will be a proven line manager, a skilled communicator and used to maintaining an excellent relationship with the FCA.
This is not a role for someone who wants an easy life - even if you will be working from home quite a lot! Neither is it a role for someone to come in, make their mark and move on. After a period of instability, you need to be comfortable working in an environment that needs some structure and attention, but be passionate about making improvements and seeing those through long term.
