A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Professional to join a growing Financial Services Organisation to lead the procurement strategy across their indirect spend (bias to IT).
Taking ownership of Procurement & Supplier Relationship Management for the UK business will include:
* Driving the agenda on procurement and supplier relationship management across the business and contribute to strategy and to business performance through effect management of the third party supplier base, driving value into the business. * Proactively engage with internal stakeholders, leveraging research and your experience, to build a pipeline of procurement opportunities * Managing a team of 5 Supplier Relationship Managers you will oversee relationships with all non-claims suppliers of the business, directly managing key aspects of relationships as you see fit or delegating effectively to your SRMs * Proactively engage with and influence both the business and suppliers to deliver creative and intelligent initiatives that increase value for both the business and its supplier base * Closely monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing internal or external issues as they arise and conducting regular engagement, at a variety of levels with key suppliers * Meet all regulatory, governance and internal compliance requirements of our supplier relationship management activities * Lead the strategy and the conversation around management of third party spend for the business
To be successful in this role you will be a first class procurement professional with the ability to challenge the status quo and influence a range of diverse stakeholders. With a history showing your ability to influence business change you will have an engaging and passionate style and a genuine restless energy and drive. This is not a 'business as usual' role and will only suit an individual who can convince the business to transform providing the necessary tools to do so. A proven background leading complex IT spend across Infrastructure, Services, Data and Outsourcing will be important also.
