An interesting and varied opportunity has arisen for a Human Resources Advisor to join this highly regarded organisation on a 9-12 months fixed term maternity cover contract where you will assist the Head of HR & Learning & Development with the delivery of a highly effective and responsive operational Human Resources service across all areas of the business JOB DETAILS
Provides a professional HR advisory and guidance service over the phone, via e-mail, and face to face to Managers and Regional Directors.
Support and advise Managers and Regional Directors on all aspects of case management in relation to disciplinary cases, capability, grievances, absence management (short term, long term, AWOL), unsatisfactory/unsuccessful probation cases and all appeals.
Provides advice and support on short and long term sickness absences and ensuring that sickness has been entered correctly. Making the appropriate recommendations and referrals for employees to Occupational Health and supporting Line Managers through the process. Preparation and issue of relevant supporting documentation where necessary.
To provide Human Resources representation and to support managers and Regional Directors at hearings/meetings. Preparation and issue of relevant supporting documentation where necessary.
Manage one of the teams HR Officers, taking overall responsibility for their induction, support, supervision, development, performance management and training ensuring that excellent people management services are central to the culture.
Advises management and part takes in organisational and structural changes including redundancy and TUPE consultation, selection criteria, required process and documentation.
Undertakes and participates in ad hoc HR projects as instructed by the Head of HR.
Assist's the Head of HR with the development, production and, in response to new legislation, updates HR policies, procedures, contracts, handbooks and other documentation and ensures that these are clearly documented and available to all staff.
The successful applicant will be able to hit the ground running and ideally be CIPD Qualified or Part Qualified and will have worked for a medium to large organisation previously and be used to a busy case load! You will have been involved in structural changes including redundancy and TUPE Consultation and will be committed for the period and will be expected to support the Head Of HR with all areas of the business. You will have a detailed background in Human Resources with a thorough knowledge in all areas of employee relations.
