A US multinational financial services corporation. Providing credit card, charge card and merchant/payment services across the globe. Due to a combination of internal promotions and growth of the business a number of Risk Manager are required to provide risk expertise across UK and European markets.

The core focus of both the Consumer and Commercial Risk teams in Europe is to manage the Net Loss Provision and to ensure effective execution of strategies and policies. This primarily refers to understanding drivers of the credit indicators for the portfolio and the implications on trends/forecast and monitoring the true experience of customers in the market, diagnosing problems and identifying opportunities for improvement and then working with partners to implement.

As a member of our risk management team, you will be primarily responsible for assessing key drivers in the credit trends of our commercial payments portfolio for select European markets. You will also implement risk-driven strategies to profitably grow billed business, reduce unnecessary point of sale disruptions, and improve the client experience in close collaboration with central Risk teams and business partners such as sales, account development, operations, compliance etc.

This is both a challenging and rewarding role that offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across the risk life cycle and to interact with a wide range of business partners across all levels within the organisation

Advanced degree in business, finance, statistics, economics or mathematics or equivalent experience in similar business is preferred with and excellent understanding /experience of risk management principles ideally within unsecured lending, payments or commercial lending industry. You will be a self starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills with strong thought leadership and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
