Alexander Lloyd Senior Finance are delighted to be supporting a leading Travel/Transportation organisation with the key appointment of a Finance Business Partner



The role's primary responsibilities include providing assistance, guidance, and challenging the business throughout the Business Case Process lifecycle and ensure governance is followed. You will chair the bi-weekly Investment Panel, providing robust financial challenge and taking minutes and actions. Responsibilities also include the preparation of periodic reporting against budget/forecast with clear and concise commentary, which proactively identifies the key risks and opportunities. You will engage directly with our key stakeholders, in particular Heads of Department, and other budget holders to deliver outputs in an engaging, and impactful way.



Within this role, you will represent Finance at key departmental meetings, ensuring that financial issues are clearly communicated and understood. You will ensure project risk & contingency are effectively managed and profiled appropriately. In addition, you will be required to liaise with Quality Surveyors (QS) and Project Managers to improve the accuracy of forecasting capital projects.



On a day to day, the Finance Business Partner will use their experience and technical accounting knowledge to support the delivery of a full range of management accounting activities including budgets, forecasting and management information.



We are looking for an individual who has an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent). With commercial finance expereince within Transportation/Travel/Construction a understanding of project accounting (WIP/Capex) would also be advantageous.



The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills alongside the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
