Alexander Lloyd are delighted to be partnering a Boutique Technology Recruitment Agency in Central London, on the hire new created Financial Controller opening.

This number one role in finance would suit a qualified accountant with previous experience in similar businesses. With 2 London based team members (and one overseas), the role of Financial Controller will ensure the processing of contractor time-sheet payments and client invoicing (for contractors and permanent) and associated P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations, production of consolidated management accounts, cash management, cash flow forecasting as well as other associated finance department tasks.

Location: Central London (Hybrid working offered long term)

Salary: Up to £75K DOE Bonus & Benefits.

The role is all encompassing and duties will involve..

* Overseeing the day-to-day finance function operations ensuring that all tasks and processes are undertaken efficiently and effectively.
* Ensuring contractors payments and client invoices are checked, authorised and processed promptly and efficiently including correct postings to the accounting system internally.
* Overseeing contractor margin reconciliations.
* Daily bank reconciliations, inter-company account transfers and cash flow forecasting.
* Overseeing credit control and sales ledger ensuring the debtor positions are controlled.
* Processing and management of staff salaries and commission calculations.
* Production of Monthly Management Accountants & Commentaries
* Liaising with Senior Board members on commercial finance requirements, helping support business growth and strategic decision making.

The ideal candidate will have as many of the following skills and experience as possible:

* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Previous experience gained in a Recruitment Business / Agency in a similar position.
* Previous experience of managing a team.
* Strong commercial acumen & the ability to influence decision making.
* Excellent attention to detail (Verbal & Written).
* Previous experience using Sage50 Accounts preferable
