Your early objectives will be to:

* Provide specialist procurement and commercial advice and guidance, and to lead/undertake procurement activity to deliver the cost reduction/commercial programmes within the Group.
* Ensure the company has a very clear strategy when purchasing goods and services
* Communicate on a regular basis with the most senior levels of the Group and at senior levels with external suppliers to develop requirements and ensure best value solutions whilst delivering maximum commercial advantage and risk mitigation.
* Lead on the review of third party costs and data on a quarterly basis to form the procurement cost improvement plan to deliver savings. Review on a monthly basis to provide additional cost improvements, providing analytical data reports to inform decision making and presenting recommendations.
* Lead on the delivery of cost and efficiency savings by carrying out detailed complex Group wide spend analytics for third party costs from several systems. To collate, analyse and use this data to form and develop and recommend procurement strategies and cost improvement priorities to be delivered, functionally and Group wide.
* To support the delivery of cost and efficiency savings by analysing current spend information to develop procurement strategies and contract priorities.
* Responsible for providing procurement and business planning advice, on a daily basis to Business Units and the Group, ensuring compliance with Procurement Regulations and best practice.
* Lead on, and carry out, procurement audits for the quotations/tender process and present findings.

You will stand out if you have experience working as a senior procurement leader within a relatively immature or greenfield function. If you have previously worked in a Financial services environment too that will be a distinct advantage. This role will suit a passionate, dedicated procurement individual with CIPS / MCIPS or working towards.
