Compliance Officer - Financial Crime - Redhill - up to £40.000 plus bonus & excellent benefits

Alexander Lloyd are working with a leading regulated business who are looking to add to their compliance team with a Financial Crime Compliance Officer.

This role sits within a Compliance Department which reports to the Chief Compliance Officer & Legal Director and which currently comprises the Compliance Manager and 3 Compliance Officers.

The successful candidate will be a point of contact within Compliance for the companies Line 2 Financial Crime Policy and Oversight, in relation to changes to policies and standards (AML, Sanctions, AB&C & FOTE) based on internal changes or regulatory requirements.

Review and analyse any proposed changes to Financial Crime policies and/or standards (AML, Sanctions, AB&C & FOTE) against the business model and present findings to the relevant stakeholders.

Manage the implementation of Financial Crime changes identified from analysis of updates to policies and standards across the business as appropriate.

Engage with Line 2 Policy and Oversight in the first instance to ensure policy and standards reflect the business model and financial crime risk including drafting alternative wording

Manage and resolve any breaches, waivers, and dispensations in relation to non-adherence to the companies policies and standards or Money Laundering regulations.

Design and compile internal and external monthly reporting

Review upcoming regulatory changes, assess impact on businesses financial crime processes and feed back to relevant stakeholders

Review Policy & Strategy bulletins and work with the Financial Crime Team Manager on any new requirements.



You will possess -

Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work on own initiative

Excellent interpersonal skills

Good analytical skills

Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task

Good knowledge of the applicable Financial Crime regulations

Ability to build and maintain key relationships

Ability to work to tight deadlines



The role is currently homebased with the view that hybrid working will start in January 2022

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 35 hour week

27 days holiday plus bank holidays
