Alexander Lloyd are currently partnering on a leading partnering one the largest FMCG organisations, operating globally, leading as pioneers in what they do as they constantly continue to innovate and lead from the front with a personal relationship between business and consumer.
This position is of a permanent nature, working as the Category Manager. The role is live as a result of a promotion within the Procurement team.
Reporting into the Head of Category - Packaging, your duties will include;
* Take responsibility of a £30m spend within the packing category within the organisation across all product lines * Build robust and effective relationships with keys stakeholders, working within a collaborative fashion, making key recommendations to mitigate business and supplier risks, making commercial advice to ensure the business hits their objectives * Meet with your suppliers, building a rapport to ensure full transparency and conduct detailed analysis, reporting to senior management * Identify and implement significant bottom-line cost savings * Promoting best practice across the business and team * Management a small team
The successful candidate will have Direct Procurement experience, gained within an FMCG business whether it is packaging (ideal) or an alternative such as ingredients and so on.
Our client will offer a competitive salary of £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience. Packaging experience will warrant the higher end of the budget. There is a bonus and generous package on offer too.
