About the role & Company:
Alexander Lloyd is seeking an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to support with the Pensions Scheme Administration services, for a growing Pensions Consultancy. This opportunity is aligned to the Edinburgh office which offers flexible hybrid working, 2x days a week in the office, 3x days working from home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of administration clients ranging in size, which may include DC schemes. As a Senior Administrator you will manage all day-to-day actives across their allocated clients as well as helping to deliver management reports and ad-hoc project work such as Scheme Events or GMP work. Key responsibilities are;
- Prioritizing work to ensure delivery in accordance with client service level agreements
- Processing member events within targets ensuring it complies with internal standards and scheme legislation rules
- Processing scheme events
- Peer reviewing and checking member and scheme events processed by junior members of the team
- Producing letters, emails and reports as and when required
- Attendance of trustee / client meetings
- Attending internal and external meetings to provide support and guidance on administration issues
- Keeping up to date with technical and scheme changes
Skills and experience required:
At least 5 years’ experience of delivering administration services to Defined Benefit pension schemes
Strong pensions legislation knowledge and understanding
Experience working from within another pensions TPA / Consultancy
Experience of Profund oPen 2 and Bizflow would be advantageous

Key Responsibilities
- Record all cheques on the appropriate core system, update the safe log and ensure cheques are properly safeguarded until they reach the bank in accordance with CASS 7.
- Process all outgoing manual payments (CHAPS & Foreign Transfers) to our longstanding customers with accuracy ensuring appropriate sign-off has been obtained. Ensure compliance with the CASS regulations.
- Provide payment or receipt-related reports and information to customers/LBG within agreed timescales.
- Prepare and input manual journals where required.

This role is within the high profile CASS Controls and Oversight Team which is responsible for Incident Management, Training, Procedures, Reporting, Breach Oversight and Prevention, Audit Liaison, Change Liaison and maximising the protection of client money through the oversight of our CASS responsibilities.
Qualifications

You’ll be:

- Key all incoming monies into BaNCS within agreed SLAs and in line with regulatory requirements, Group Minimum Standards (“GMS”) and Group Payments Policy.
- Process all outgoing manual payments (CHAPS & Foreign Transfers) to our longstanding customers with accuracy ensuring appropriate sign-off has been obtained.
- Ensure all automated payments are approved with correct dates and information that matches system reports by checking correct dates are keyed for Direct Debit collections and outgoing BACS payments.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure their accuracy and demonstrating an effective level of control, within agreed SLAs and in line with LBG Group Minimum Standards.
- Identify, investigate and resolve any failed and rejected payments, bounced and out of date cheques, stopped and reissued cheques, as well as perform payment-tracing activities.

- Operate as Cash Management SME for the Life & Pensions book.
- Key all incoming monies into BaNCS within agreed SLAs and in line with regulatory requirements, LBG Group Minimum Standards (“GMS”) and Group Payments Policy. Support more junior members of the Team with this activity providing guidance and training where required.
