The ideal candidate will have a minimum of twelve months HR administration experience within a similar fast paced, office environment where you will have successfully managed a varied workload. With your experience in HR, you will be comfortable being the first point of contact for straightforward enquiries, be confident communicating with people at all levels across the organisation and be committed to achieving results of a high quality.
The HR Assistant is a key member of the HR team and will be responsible for general HR admin and recruitment support including regular updating of the HR system and issuing of contracts and offer letters. Alexander Lloyd are exclusively managing a permanent Head of HR opportunity for a 700FTE multi-site construction organisation with a head office in Canterbury in Kent. This is a hybrid basis role, with an expectation of 3 days per week on site.
The Head of HR works with the business leaders to provide HR advice, and influence key strategic decisions across the organisation. This includes talent management and development, inclusion and diversity, organisational capability and effectiveness, talent acquisition and retention, and employee relations.
Key Performance Areas
Work with the businesses to define HR priorities and articulate the HR Strategy.
Develop and implement effective employment policies and procedures
Devise and implement talent management processes to build robust succession planning
Design and develop all agreed group training and management development needs
Maintain and develop the effectiveness of the HRIS
Support business leaders with compensation and benefits
Manage the Group Payroll and Pensions Team
Support and develop internal communications strategy
Ideally CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience) you will be an experienced HR Generalist with team management experience ideally gained in a multi-site organisation. A background from construction, manufacturing, utilities or associated sectors is advantageous.

Alexander Lloyd are recruiting for a Senior Pensions Administrator based in Tonbridge. This role would be suitable for an experienced Pensions Administrator or Senior who has experience of delivering ‘full cradle to grave’ administration to Defined Benefits schemes.
You will be responsible for providing the day-to-day administration service to a portfolio of clients including processing manual calculations and dealing with complex cases, assisting with yearly projects like pension increases and benefits statements, allocating and checking of work for junior members of the team.
Previous experience with pension administration of Defined Benefit schemes is essential for this role.
