  Alexander Lloyd are proud to be partnering with a leading FS company in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join the team on a permanent, full time basis. A broad role, your duties will include;

  • Prepare/review year end accounts.
  • Assist in research of complex technical areas and offer solutions.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing consolidation models including disclosures.
  • Understanding of corporation tax compliance requirements, and information required to generate tax disclosures in financial statements.
  • Manage own workload and support others to ensure you work as a team and reviews are completed within the necessary time frames. Become aware of own client’s deadlines.
  • Suggest and action process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients and ensure that all communications are conducted in a professional manner.

  You will;

  • Be AAT qualified (or equivalent)
  • Have demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Confident and clear communicator
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups, SumIfs)

  Salary: £32,000 + study support towards ACCA/CIMA

  Hybrid working: 3 days office, 2 days home

  Assistant Accountant

  Responsibilities

  • Working with a small trustee team to manage the operation and governance of a number of small DB schemes
  • Assisting with all aspects of trustee meetings (meeting packs, meeting attendance, minutes and action points)
  • Being a friendly and trusted first point of contact for clients and scheme members
  • Assisting with the drafting and review of scheme documents, such as annual accounts, summary funding statements, newsletters, and scheme returns
