    About the role:

    • Effectively manage & delegate to the payroll team.

    This person would be essentially responsible for undertaking medical and financial investigations of income protection claims, to pay all valid claims and minimising the financial and reputational costs of improper claims. Presenting a cogent explanation of the decisions, ensuring that members understand the basis of favourable and unfavourable decisions.     This person would sit within their Small Business Solutions team (SBS) who look after SME clients and currently consists of c8 Healthcare consultants and 1 Group Risk Consultant. This person would be responsible for overseeing their own portfolio of existing SME clients, develop cross-selling opportunities using the full range of services offered by the business and optimising portfolio retention. As their team is already very Healthcare heavy, they are looking for someone with a strong background in Group Risk to come in and hit the ground running. They will be advising their clients on Group Risk & Protection benefits so this experience is essential. A broad knowledge of Healthcare products such as Private Medical Insurance, Health Cash plans and Dental would be a bonus but is not essential. Other duties include being the first point of contact for clients, providing adhoc advice on client queries, converting sales enquiries from an allocation of new business leads to successfully achieve a range of business targets including revenue and quality.
